BEING HEALED & FUELED THROUGH MUSIC

It is dangerous times to be black in Amerikkka but isn't it always? For centuries African Americans have had to fight for their freedoms. We have always used art as a means of self expression. There is so much built up tension, we are constantly backed up into a corner creating that fight or flight instinct. There is a safety created through art, it is a way artist cope with their emotions and are able to express themselves freely - that will never change. I made this mix " Black Power" to express on behalf of everyone at Foolish Ambitions deepest sorrows on what has been portrayed in the media. Music truly does heal, it's why we depend on it so much to create a safe space. Music fuels us to act on our emotional and although i'm grateful for that, we should fight, but fight smart. Organize, Create, Speak Up.
